Francois is now involved in a MedTech start-up.
Francois worked 20 years at Cisco Systems where he was promoted to Distinguished Engineer. He worked as a Systems Architect in the Video Software and Services group, in charge of developing software and services for Service Providers that support advanced video services. He focuses on next generation video and content distribution solutions, including rich IP video experience delivered from the cloud.
Francois is also driving technology around CDN Interconnection and CDN Federation. Francois co-chairs the "CDN Interconnection (CDNI)" Working Group in the IETF. He lead the "CDN Federation Pilot" initiative involving Cisco, Service Providers, over-the-top CDN operators and Media Providers worldwide.
Before, Francois had been working on Quality of Service and MPLS. Francois has been very active in the IETF for many years on topics including CDNI, MPLS, Quality of Service, IPv6 over MPLS, and RSVP.
Francois holds 26 patents and co-authored a book on MPLS Designs.
He started his career working for service providers in France (Orange) and Australia (Telstra).
